Ingredients
- 3cups idly rice
- 1cups of urid dhal
- 1 tablespoon of salt.
Method
- Soak the rice & urid dhal separately for few hours
- Wash both well.
- Grind the rice with water.It will take 20 mintues.
- After grinding the rice , it should be smooth
- Take out the ground rice
- Then grind the urid dhal with water
- Grind for 20mins
- Take out and mix both
- Add salt , water 1/2 cup and mix well.
- It can be left outside overnight for fermentting
- Use the Idlly pot/cooker and boil required water
- Pour in the dough and steam cook it
- Serve hot with sambar and chutney
- Keep the remaining dough in the fridge for later use.
