Ingredients
- Channa dhal - 1 cup
- Fennel -1 teaspoon
- Red Chilli-2
- Salt-3/4 teaspoon
- Onion-2
- Curry leaves, Coriander
- 1 cup of Oil
Method
- Soak the Channa dhal for 1 hour
- Wash out the dhall well.
- Add fennel, Chilli, Salt and grind in a blender/mixer
- Sprinkle some water and Grind coarsely
- Dice the Onion, Curry and Coriander leaves
- Add these into the ground ingredients and mix well
- Heat the Oil in the frying-pan (Medium heat)
- Make like-ball, flatten in the centre with your palms
- Once Vadai is cooked it floats up.
- Turn to other side and cook
- Fry them until golden brown.
- Now ready to Serve with Chutney of your choice.
